Dr. Alexander Langerman

Alexander Langerman is a surgeon, researcher and innovator focused on the intersection of ethics, data science, and efficiency in the operating room. He practices at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, treating head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease, and other tumors and conditions with both ablative and reconstructive techniques. He also runs the surgical ethics program and surgical analytics lab at Vanderbilt, and serves as an innovation ambassador for his department. Dr. Langerman was previously founder and chief medical officer of Explorer Surgical corporation before their acquisition by GHX in 2021. He lives in Nashville with his wife and two children, and loves tinkering and exploring.
